Is electrostimulation safe for beginners?

Yes, when you follow manufacturer guidelines and start at low intensity. Mystim starter kits include safety documentation and beginner-friendly electrodes designed for gradual exploration. Never use e-stim devices if you have a pacemaker or heart condition, and avoid placing electrodes across the chest or head.

How does e-stim differ from vibration?

Vibration stimulates surface nerve endings through mechanical movement. Electrostimulation sends controlled pulses through muscle tissue, creating tingling or contracting sensations you feel internally. Many users describe e-stim as more intense and penetrating than even the strongest vibrators.

Can I use regular lube with Mystim electrodes?

You can, but conductivity enhancers work better. Standard water-based lube reduces friction but doesn't optimize electrical transfer. Mystim's conductive gels improve current flow between electrode and skin, resulting in smoother, more consistent sensation.

Do Mystim devices work with electrodes from other brands?

Most Mystim power units use standard 2mm pin jacks, so many third-party electrodes will physically connect. However, pairing Mystim units with Mystim electrodes ensures matched impedance and safety-tested materials. Mixing brands voids warranties and may affect performance.
