The Liberator Bed Buckler turns an ordinary bed into a place for light bondage without hooks, posts or a special frame. It's a kit of BDSM restraints built around a web strap that slips under the mattress, box spring or futon, four adjustable tethers, and soft hook-and-loop cuffs for wrists and ankles. When you're done, the cuffs come off and the straps can tuck out of sight, so nobody making the bed will know.
The webbing runs underneath the mattress, so the bed itself becomes the anchor. Four nylon tethers, each 20 inches long and adjustable, wrap around the surface of the bed and finish within reach of the person lying on it. Clip a cuff to each tether, and you have points for both wrists and both ankles. Because the straps adjust, it works on a futon or a deep mattress alike, and on beds without a headboard or footboard to tie to.
The cuffs are soft, padded fabric that closes with Velcro-style hook-and-loop. That makes them quick to put on and, more importantly, quick to take off: one firm pull opens them, which is reassuring for beginners and useful if anyone needs out quickly. They are restraint for play, not for someone straining hard against them. If you want heavier leather cuffs, the kit's D-rings accept those too.
Bonus D-rings on the tethers mean you're not limited to the included cuffs. Silk scarves, bondage rope, tie-down straps and other cuffs all attach, so the Bed Buckler can grow with what you want to try. Pair it with a blindfold or a feather tickler for sensory play.
Restraint changes the dynamic even when it's light. The person tied down can't reach, guide or hurry things along, so attention shifts to anticipation and to the partner's hands. Many couples find a few minutes of slow touch, teasing or oral play is more intense this way than a long, elaborate scene, so there's no need to plan anything complicated for your first time.
Both use the mattress as the anchor. The Sportsheets Under the Bed Restraints is another popular system; the Bed Buckler's appeal is its four separate tethers and its D-rings for adding your own gear.
Liberator lists the kit as multi-fabric. Spot clean the cuffs with mild soap and water and let them air-dry. Close the hook-and-loop before washing anything so it doesn't snag other fabric.

Helpful answers about Liberator Bed Buckler Tether and Cuff Kit BDSM.
Liberator says it slips under any mattress, box spring or futon, and the tethers are adjustable. Very thick mattresses use more strap length, so try it with the cuffs set loose first to see how much slack you have.
Yes. The cuffs are soft and the hook-and-loop closure opens with one pull, so they're easy to escape if needed. Start with wrists only and loose tethers before trying full spread-eagle.
Many people do. The straps sit under the mattress, and the tethers can be tucked under the sheet when not in use. Remove the cuffs between sessions to keep them clean.
Yes. The D-rings accept other cuffs, rope, scarves and tie-downs. Avoid anything that tightens when pulled, like a slip knot, and always keep safety shears nearby when using rope.
Snug enough not to slip off, loose enough to fit two fingers underneath. Check fingers and toes regularly for numbness, tingling or colour change, and loosen straight away if any appear.
It works anywhere the strap can pass underneath the mattress. On a platform bed with a solid base, the strap runs between mattress and platform. Browse more options in our BDSM collection.
