What "Gentle" means

Tenga makes the U.S. cup in versions with different inner structures. The Gentle is the white cup with the softest interior: the ridges and waves inside are rounder and more forgiving, so the sensation builds slowly rather than gripping hard from the first stroke. It's a good match for people who are sensitive, prefer a slower session, or are trying a Tenga cup for the first time. If you want more grip and texture, the U.S. Strong is the firmer sibling.

How the vacuum works

The cup's hourglass shape and a one-way valve inside create suction as you stroke. At the base is an air hole covered by a peel-off sticker. Peel the sticker, insert, then cover the hole with a fingertip to build stronger suction, or leave it open for a lighter feel. Lifting your finger releases the vacuum, so you can vary it stroke by stroke.

Tenga's Smooth Pad entrance holds a ring of lubricant that coats you as you enter, and there's more gel inside. Most people don't need to add any. If you do want more, a water-based lube works with the TPE sleeve.

Using it

• Remove the wrap, the cap and the sticker over the air hole.
• Insert slowly; the entrance is snug at first and opens up.
• Hold the cup around the middle, not the ends, for even pressure.
• Use the air hole to adjust suction as you go.
• Afterwards, put the cap back on and dispose of it with household rubbish.

It's designed for one session. The inner sleeve can't be turned out for cleaning, so reusing it isn't recommended.

Ultra Size or standard?

Tenga lists the U.S. cup at about 18 cm long and 8 cm across the outside, with an insertion length of roughly 6.7 in. If standard Tenga cups have felt short or the entrance has felt tight, Ultra Size is the right call. If they fit fine, the standard Original Vacuum Cup Gentle gives the same soft feel in the regular format.

Tips for a first session

Take the first few strokes slowly and shallowly while the entrance relaxes and the lubricant spreads. Try short strokes near the opening and long ones down to the base, and play with the air hole once you've found a rhythm. Turning the cup slightly as you move changes which ridges you feel.
