Liberator Aria Flip Chaise 18-Inch Convertible Sex Chair – Teal

The Liberator Aria Flip Chaise is a sex chair that spends most of its life pretending to be a bench. Folded, it's a teal velvet seat at the foot of the bed. Unfolded, it becomes a long, curved chaise with humps and dips that support hips, knees and backs in positions that are hard to hold on a flat mattress. This is the 18-inch-wide original, the slimmer of the two Aria sizes.

From bench to sex chair

As a bench it measures 60 × 18 × 18 in, which is close to the size of an ordinary end-of-bed ottoman. Flip the sections open and it stretches to 72 in long, with the highest curve rising to 27.5 in. When you're done, fold it back and pull the tailored slipcover over the top; to anyone walking past it's simply furniture. The teal microvelvet reads as a bold accent colour rather than a novelty item.

Positions the curves make easier

The shape is the point. The tallest hump lifts the hips for rear-entry and angled penetration without anyone having to hold their weight on their arms. The lower dip lets a partner straddle and ride with their feet planted on the floor, which is where the narrower 18-inch width helps: your legs drop either side easily. The gentle end curve works as a reclining back or a cushion for kneeling during oral sex. A half-bolster is included for extra lift under the hips or behind the head.

Is 18 inches wide enough?

For straddling, kneeling and bending over, yes, and many couples find it easier to move on than a wider seat. If you want to lie on it side by side, lounge on it as a reading chair, or you simply want more surface under you, the 22-inch Aria XL in teal has the same shape with four extra inches of width. Check your floor space either way: opened, the chaise needs about six feet of clear floor plus room to move around it.

Your first session on it

Before anything else, sit, kneel and lie on it fully clothed to work out which curve suits which position for your two bodies. Height differences matter: a taller partner can kneel on the floor while the other lies over the peak, which brings hips closer to level. Keep the half-bolster, lube and a towel within reach, and leave floor space on both sides so neither of you has to climb over it.

Cleaning and care

Under the velvet there's a water-resistant liner protecting the high-density foam core. The microvelvet cover comes off and goes in the washing machine; follow the sewn-in care label and skip bleach. The no-slip base keeps it from creeping across hard floors. Spot-clean the foam itself with a damp cloth only.

Setting it up

The Aria arrives compressed. Unpack it, give the foam time to expand to full size before you fit the covers, then set the no-slip side down and arrange the curves. There are no tools or frames involved.
