How Entice smells, from first spray to dry-down

The opening is citrus, sharp and clean, with a slightly watery green edge that fades within the first few minutes. Then the heart comes through: nashi pear, the crunchy Asian pear that smells juicy rather than sugary, with mimosa and a touch of rose giving it a powdery floral softness. After an hour or so, sandalwood, musk and amber warm it up into something softer and skin-like. Fragrance always shifts a little with skin, so it's worth wearing it for a full day before deciding.

What's in the bottle

The supplier lists the ingredients as alcohol denat., fragrance (parfum), water, and a vegan, synthetically derived pheromone ingredient. In other words, this is a conventional alcohol-based perfume with a pheromone compound added to the blend. We describe it as a fragrance because that's what you can judge for yourself: the scent, the format and how long it lasts on you. The supplier also lists it as paraben-free and not tested on animals.

Applying the pheromone spray

Hold the atomiser a hand-span or so from your skin and mist the pulse points, the inside of the wrists, the sides of the neck and behind the ears, where warmth helps a scent open up. One or two sprays are plenty for daytime. Let it dry naturally; rubbing your wrists together flattens the top notes. Alcohol-based perfume can mark delicate fabrics, so spray skin rather than clothing, and let it dry before you dress.
