Be Wicked! Lingerie Floral Delight Long-Sleeve Bodystocking – Black

The Be Wicked! Floral Delight in black is a long-sleeve bodystocking set split into two pieces: a cropped top and a high-waisted cheeky bottom, both covered in the same floral pattern. Worn together it reads as one outfit from neck to hip. Worn apart, each half becomes a separate you can mix with the rest of your wardrobe, and black is the easiest shade in the range to do that with.

Two pieces that behave like one bodystocking

The top has a round neckline and full-length sleeves and stops above the waist. The bottom rises high at the front and is cut cheeky at the back, so the pattern carries on across the hips. Depending on your torso length, a little skin may show between the hem of the top and the waistband of the bottom, which gives the set a more fitted, two-tone silhouette than a one-piece suit.

Because the halves are separate, getting dressed and undressed is simpler than with a one-piece. You can also wear just the top under an open shirt or blazer, or keep the bottom on with a robe once the top comes off.

If you're above that range, the Floral Delight Queen in black is the same design cut for roughly sizes 18 to 24. If you sit between the two, measure your hips; a stretch bottom tends to feel tight there first, so let that number decide.

Styling black florals

Of all the shades, black crosses over most easily into regular clothes. Under a sheer blouse or with a leather jacket it looks like a patterned base layer. For a boudoir shoot or a night in, add heels and a red lip and let the pattern do the rest. It also sits well with black thigh highs or a garter belt if you want the full lingerie look. The set doesn't include a thong or pasties, so wear your own underneath; a black thong disappears against the fabric.

Washing and storing it

Hand wash only. Use cool water and a mild detergent, press the water out gently in a towel instead of wringing, and lay it flat to dry. Skip bleach, the dryer, the iron and dry cleaning. Dark dyes can bleed in the first wash, so wash the black set on its own the first time. Store it folded in its box or a drawer away from velcro, jewellery and anything with hooks that could pull a thread.
