Slippery Stuff Personal Lubricant Gel is a glycerin-free water based personal lubricant with a thicker gel texture that stays put instead of running. A gel that stays where you put it

Slippery Stuff makes two main formulas, and this is the Gel, the one with the blue label. Where the liquid version spreads and runs, the gel is thicker and holds its place: put it on a toy, a finger or a condom and it stays there instead of dripping onto the sheets. That makes it easy to control during foreplay, toy play and penetrative sex, and it's a practical pick for anal play, where you want lube to stay at the entrance rather than run off. It feels silky rather than sticky, and it's water-based and water-soluble, so it rinses away with plain water.

What it leaves out

The formula is glycerin-free, which matters to people who prefer to avoid sugar-based ingredients in lube. It's also odourless and doesn't stain fabric, so there's no perfume or flavour to notice and no marks left on bedding. Slippery Stuff suggests it, or its Extra-Sensitive gel, for people who've found other lubes don't agree with them. As with any new lube, patch-test a little on your inner arm first if your skin is sensitive.

Using a water based personal lubricant with toys and condoms

Because it's water-based, the gel is safe to use with silicone toys, which silicone lubes can damage, and with glass, metal and hard plastic toys too. Water-based formulas are generally compatible with latex condoms, unlike oils. It's long-lasting for a water-based lube, and if it starts to thin out during a long session, a few drops of water or a fresh dab brings the glide back. Clean toys afterwards with warm water and mild soap.
