The XR Lover's Bed Restraint System turns any bed into a place for restraint play without hooks, posts or tying knots. Nylon straps slide underneath the mattress, and four padded cuffs come out at the corners for wrists and ankles. The mattress and the person lying on it hold everything in place, so setup takes a couple of minutes and the straps tuck away out of sight afterward.
A centre strap runs across under the mattress and the cuff straps extend from it to each corner. The weight of the mattress and your partner's body keeps the system from shifting, which is why it works on a mattress on the floor as well as on a bed frame. XR says it fits most mattress sizes. The centre strap adjusts up to 54 inches and the cuff straps up to 51 inches, so you can position the cuffs exactly where you want them.
The cuffs are padded polyester with a soft lining and close with Velcro, adjusting up to 15.5 inches around. Velcro helps beginners in one important way: it releases with one quick pull, so either partner can get free fast if needed. It does mean a determined partner can pull free too, which suits playful struggling better than strict bondage.
Lay the system under the mattress with the cuffs at the corners. Have your partner lie down, fasten the wrists first and check you can slide two fingers inside each cuff. Then do the ankles. Leave a little slack at first; spread-eagle positions are more tiring than they look. Agree on a safeword before you start, and check in regularly about circulation and comfort.

Couples trying restraint for the first time will find it easy to set up, and it solves the problem of having no bed frame to tie to. Spot-clean the cuffs and straps with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed, then let them air-dry. When you're done, you can leave the straps under the mattress with the cuffs tucked in, ready for next time. Nobody making the bed will notice them, which suits shared homes.
