A lot of people come to us asking for "a Lush" when what they want is a Lovense toy that matches one specific plan: a dinner date with a partner holding the phone, a weekend apart, or a rabbit that two people can play with from different cities. The Lovense range is big, and almost everything in it talks to the same Lovense Remote app. That's handy, because the toy you choose is really about body and situation, not software.
Here are the six we send people to most often, what each one is good at, and who should skip it.
Do you want to wear it, or use it in bed?
Start here. The Lush eggs, Ferri and Hush 2 are made to be worn while you do something else, whether that's walking around, sitting through dinner or getting ready together. Nora and Max 2 are bed toys. They're bigger, they do more, and they work as a pair. Picking the wrong side of that split is the most common reason a Lovense toy ends up in a drawer.
Lush 4 or Lush Mini: which egg should you get?
Both are curved silicone eggs that sit inside against the front wall, with a soft tail that stays outside and doubles as the antenna. The difference is size and how much you want to feel.
The Lush 4 is the full-size egg. Lovense rates its motor at up to 7,000 vibrations per minute and its quietest setting at 36 dB, and it's IPX7, so the bath is fine. Charging is the detail people end up loving: about five minutes on the cable gives roughly an hour of play, and the tail has a coloured LED so you can see at a glance that it's on. There's a button on the tail for basic control without the phone.
The Lush Mini is 31 mm across with 3.79 inches of insertable length. People who found the full-size egg a bit much usually get on better with this one. Around seven minutes of charging buys about an hour, and it's also IPX7. The trade-off with both eggs is the same: they're internal-focused. If clitoral contact is what usually works for you, an egg on its own may feel like a nice extra rather than the main event.
We still stock the Lush 3 too. Lovense lists faster charging and longer battery life on the 4, so we'd only pick the 3 if you specifically want that model.
What if you'd rather have something outside the body?
That's Ferri's job. The Lovense Ferri is a small panty vibrator that attaches to your underwear with a magnet and rests over the clitoris. Nothing goes inside, and there's a button on the toy if you want it without the app.
Be realistic about what it is, though. Ferri gives a broad, ambient buzz through fabric. It's lovely as a slow tease over a long evening and less satisfying if you want strong, pinpoint pressure. Fitted underwear keeps it steadiest. Loose cuts let it move around, and very thick fabric dulls the feel.
Which one is for anal play?
The Hush 2 is a vibrating plug with a tapered tip and a wide base that keeps it in place during longer wear. We carry it in several widths; the one featured here is 1.5 inches across, which suits people who've already used a plug and want something they'll properly notice. If you're new to plugs, go smaller. You'll enjoy it more.
It's waterproof and charges from a magnetic USB cable. One honest note: the Hush 2 is built to rumble, and at higher speeds you can hear it in a quiet room. Under a duvet with the TV on, nobody will notice; in a silent bedroom, they might.
Can two Lovense toys actually feel each other?
Yes, and this is where the brand does something unusual. The Nora is a rabbit vibrator whose shaft head rotates in both directions while the outer arm vibrates against the clitoris. Two buttons on the shaft run each part separately. It has about 120 mm of insertable length, Lovense quotes up to 245 minutes per charge, and a full recharge takes around 150 minutes, so plug it in well ahead.
The Max 2 is the partner device: a stroker with vibration and 360-degree contraction, plus an air vent at the base. Opening or closing that vent changes how firmly it grips. Lovense lists up to 215 minutes of use and about 100 minutes to charge. Pair a Nora and a Max 2 in the app and each one reacts to the other's movement, at any distance with a working internet connection.
The catch is that it's a two-toy setup, and it really shines when you're apart. If you live together, a single couples toy is simpler. The Max 2 also gets noticeably louder at its higher contraction settings, so it's a closed-door toy.
| Toy | Worn or in bed | What you feel | Skip it if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lush 4 | Worn | Internal, strong | You need clitoral focus |
| Lush Mini | Worn | Internal, smaller egg | You want maximum fullness |
| Ferri | Worn | External, gentle | You want pinpoint pressure |
| Hush 2 (1.5 in) | Worn | Anal, rumbly | You're new to plugs |
| Nora | In bed | Rotation plus clitoral arm | You want something wearable |
| Max 2 | In bed | Stroke, contraction, suction | You need it quiet |
How do you stop the app from letting you down?
Most complaints we hear about Lovense aren't about the toys. They're about a connection that dropped at the wrong moment. A few habits cut that down a lot. Keep the Lovense Remote app updated on both phones. Pair the toy and send your partner the control link a day or two before you need it. Keep the phone that's paired to the toy charged and close by, because Bluetooth is the weak link, not the internet. And always know how to switch the toy off by its own button, in case the app freezes.
If you're still deciding between brands, our We-Vibe comparison covers the other big name. Broadly, Lovense leans on the phone app, while many We-Vibe models also come with a handheld remote. Our app-controlled toys collection has both side by side.
What lube should you use with them?
Water-based. All the toys here have silicone on the parts that touch you, and silicone lube can wear that surface down. Rinse after each use with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner, and let everything dry before it goes back on the charger. For the Max 2, take the sleeve out and dry both pieces apart.
What should you read next?
If you're shopping as a couple and haven't settled on a type yet, our guide to couples toys walks through rings, wearables and games as well. And if a Lush Mini is on your list, compare it with the full-size Lush 4 on the product pages before you order; the size difference is bigger in hand than it looks in photos.
