The Handy is one of the best-known automatic strokers: a compact device that moves a sleeve up and down for you, either on its own or in sync with videos, games and live cams. The second generation comes in two versions, the Handy 2 and the Handy 2 Pro, and the price gap between them is almost $200.
Both share the same stroke length, sleeve system and app connection. The differences are battery, motor and top speed. Here's what that means in practice, so you can decide whether the Pro is worth the extra money.
Quick answer: Choose the Handy 2 ($435.95) if you mostly use it near a charger and want the best value. Choose the Handy 2 Pro ($631.95) if you want long cordless sessions: its 3,200 mAh battery gives up to 5 hours, about five times the Handy 2, and its faster motor reaches higher speeds.
How do the Handy 2 and Handy 2 Pro compare?
| Handy 2 | Handy 2 Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price (CAD) | $435.95 | $631.95 |
| Battery | 700 mAh | 3,200 mAh, up to 5 hours |
| Motor | 13,300 rpm | 20,000 rpm brushless, premium bearings |
| Stroke length | 125 mm | 125 mm |
| Speed range | 32 to 400 mm/s | 32 to 450 mm/s (overclock to 800 mm/s) |
| Noise | Under 60 dB | Under 60 dB |
| Connection | Wi-Fi and Bluetooth | Wi-Fi and Bluetooth |
| Sleeves | ClickOn system, TrueGrip Gen 3 included | ClickOn system, TrueGrip Gen 3 included |
What do they have in common?
Both models use a 125 mm stroke, connect over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and have mounting screws built in so you can fix them in place for hands-free use. Both run at under 60 dB and charge by USB-C. Both come with the TrueGrip Gen 3 sleeve and use the same ClickOn sleeve system, so every Handy sleeve fits either model.
Out of the box you get the device, the TrueGrip Gen 3 sleeve, a Dot Band and a sleeve holder. The Pro adds a sleeve dryer and a travel pouch.
What does the Handy 2 Pro add?
A much bigger battery
This is the main reason to buy the Pro. Its 3,200 mAh battery gives up to 5 hours of cordless use, which The Handy describes as about five times the standard model. If you often lose power partway through a session, or you like to use it away from an outlet, this alone may justify the price.
A faster, stronger motor
The Pro uses a 20,000 rpm brushless motor on premium bearings, compared with 13,300 rpm on the Handy 2. Its standard top speed is 450 mm/s, and an overclock mode goes up to 800 mm/s. Note that overclocking voids the warranty.
Which sleeves fit the Handy 2?
Thanks to the ClickOn system, every Handy sleeve fits both models. Swapping sleeves is the easiest way to change the feel without buying a new device. Options include the Lotus, Lips, Touch, Pearl and Flow sleeves. Use a water-based lube from our masturbation lubes collection with any of them.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Handy 2 if you're new to automatic strokers, mostly use it at home near a charger, or want the lower price.
- Choose the Handy 2 Pro if you want long cordless sessions, higher top speeds or the extra accessories, and the price difference doesn't matter much to you.
Either way, the experience comes from the same stroke, app and sleeves. The Pro mostly buys you time and headroom.
What if The Handy is out of stock?
Stock on The Handy can run out. If it's unavailable when you check, these in-stock automatic strokers are the closest alternatives:
- Lovense Solace Pro ($306.90): automatic thrusting at up to 300 strokes per minute, a 180-degree mount and up to 14 hours of run time.
- Lovense Solace ($273.24): the original Solace, with app control and a desk mount.
- Kiiroo Keon ($296.99): syncs with interactive content and works with Kiiroo's Feel Stroker sleeves (sold separately), or as a Keon and Feel Stroker combo.

How do you look after an automatic stroker?
The Handy 2 isn't waterproof, so keep the device itself away from water. Remove the sleeve after each session, wash it with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner, and let it dry completely before reattaching. Our toy cleaning guide has more detail.
