XR Dark Pearl Inflatable Vibrating Butt Plug with Remote

The XR Dark Pearl is an inflatable butt plug that also vibrates, so you control two things at once: how full it feels, using a hand pump, and how much it buzzes, using a wireless remote. The shape is unusual, with a pearl-like inflatable bulb in the middle and a ribbed, tapered panel on each side, set on a wide base with a slim neck.

How the inflation works

Deflated, the plug has 4.3 inches of insertable length and a widest point of 1.9 inches. Squeeze the hand pump and the central bulb swells. XR's fully inflated figure is a 4.5-inch diameter, which is very large, and the length shortens slightly to 4.1 inches as the bulb rounds out. You do not have to go anywhere near that maximum; most people stop at a level of fullness that feels good and hold it there.

A slow-release valve lets the air out gradually, so deflating is never sudden. The 21-inch hose detaches, so once you are happy with the size you can disconnect it and move freely while the plug stays inflated.

Vibration and remote

There are three speeds and seven patterns, chosen from a remote that works up to 32 feet away. The remote needs one AAA battery, which is not included, so have one ready. The plug itself charges by USB. Vibration is handy at the start: many people find that a low, steady setting while the plug sits deflated makes the first few minutes feel easier before any pumping begins.

Getting started with an inflatable butt plug

Because of the side panels, the plug is a little awkward to insert, as both sides need to go in together. Use plenty of water-based lube (XR says water-based only) on the plug and on yourself, angle it slightly and let it settle past the panels before you do anything else. Then pump one squeeze at a time, pausing between each. Stop as soon as the pressure feels strong rather than pleasant, and release a little air if needed. Before removal, deflate it fully with the valve; never pull an inflated plug out.

The 1.9-inch starting width makes it a poor first plug; beginners will do better with a small, smooth plug from our butt plug collection. Cleaning and care

Deflate the plug, detach the hose and wash the silicone with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner, keeping water away from the valve and charging point. Dry everything before storing it with the hose loosely coiled. XR says all metal parts are nickel-free.
