The Master Series Anchored is a clear butt plug with an unusual shape. Instead of a solid bulb, the head splits into two flared halves shaped like an anchor. Squeeze them together and the tip narrows for insertion; once inside, the halves spring back apart and press outward against the walls. It's made from flexible, see-through TPR, so a partner can watch exactly what's happening.

How the anchor shape works

Most plugs rely on a wide bulb and a narrow neck to stay put. The Anchored does it with spring. At rest, the two halves open to a maximum of 3.95 inches across, which is far wider than you'd want to push in solid. Pinched together, the narrowest point is 1.9 inches. After insertion they open back out, so the plug feels like it's spreading rather than simply filling. That outward pressure also keeps it from sliding out during movement, which is where the name comes from. The insertable length is 3 inches, out of 3.75 inches overall.

Is this a beginner anal plug?

Not really. Even pinched, a 1.9-inch minimum is wider than most starter plugs, and the spreading sensation is intense. It suits people who already use plugs comfortably and want a new kind of stretch. If you're starting out, begin with something slimmer from our butt plugs collection and come back to this one later. Our guide to what butt plugs are for walks through sizing.

Inserting and removing it

Warm up first with a finger or a smaller toy. Coat the plug and yourself with plenty of lube, then pinch the two halves together firmly between finger and thumb and guide the tip in slowly, breathing out as you push. Let go once the halves are past the sphincter and they'll open by themselves. Removal works the same way in reverse: relax, reach back, gently squeeze the halves together if you can, and draw it out slowly. Never yank it, because the open halves need to close on the way out.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

It suits experienced plug users, couples who enjoy watching, and anyone curious about the stretched feeling of a spreading toy. The clear material also makes it a good visual piece. Look elsewhere if you want long wear, a weighty feel or a toy you can boil: TPR is soft and light, and it's slightly porous compared with silicone, so it needs careful cleaning and can't be fully sterilised. A firmer silicone or steel plug would be the alternative for those.

Lube and cleaning

Master Series says you can use either silicone or water-based lube. A thicker water-based or anal lube helps most with the pinch-and-push insertion. Wash the plug with warm water and mild soap after every use, paying attention to the gap between the two halves, and let it dry fully before storing it in its own bag. Keep it away from other soft toys, since TPR can react with some materials. Look it over before each use, too: if the halves start to tear at the split or lose their spring, it's time to replace it.

Helpful Information

Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers about Master Series Anchored Clear Anal Plug.

Is the Master Series Anchored plug good for anal beginners?

The Master Series Anchored plug isn't a good first plug, because its narrowest point is still 1.9 inches and the spreading halves feel intense. It suits people already comfortable with plugs. Beginners should start with something slimmer from our butt plugs collection and build up.

How do you insert the Anchored clear anal plug?

To insert the Anchored clear anal plug, lube it well, pinch the two flared halves together between finger and thumb, and guide the tip in slowly as you breathe out. Release once the halves are inside and they open on their own. Warm up with a finger first.

Will the Master Series Anchored plug fall out?

The Master Series Anchored plug is designed to stay put, because its two halves spread outward once inside and hold against the walls. Heavy movement can still shift any plug, so check it now and then. If it starts slipping, more relaxation usually helps more than adding lube.

What lube can you use with the Anchored TPR plug?

Master Series says the Anchored TPR plug works with silicone or water-based lube. A thicker water-based anal lube makes the pinch-and-push insertion easier and lasts longer. Avoid oil-based products, which can break down TPR over time. Reapply before removal too, since a slick surface lets the halves close more easily on the way out.

Can you sterilise the Master Series Anchored butt plug?

You can't fully sterilise the Master Series Anchored butt plug, because TPR is softer and slightly porous and can't be boiled. Wash it with warm water and mild soap after each use, clean between the two halves carefully, and keep it for one person.

How wide does the Anchored plug open inside?

The Anchored plug's two halves open to a listed maximum of 3.95 inches when fully relaxed, and pinch to 1.9 inches for insertion. Inside the body they won't spread quite that far, but the outward pressure is what gives the stretched, full feeling this plug is known for.
