Be Wicked Run the World Garter Set

The Be Wicked Run the World is a two-piece garter set: an off-shoulder top plus stockings with the garters already attached, all in a patterned knit. Because the garters are built in, there's no separate belt to clip and no straps to line up, which takes the fiddly part out of wearing stockings. It's sized one-size-fits-most and suits anyone who loves the stockings-and-garters look but has given up on clips that pop open halfway through the evening.

What you get

There are two pieces in the box. The first is the off-shoulder top, which frames the shoulders and collarbones. The second is the stocking piece, where the garters and stockings are knitted as one so they stay aligned. A thong is not included, which leaves you free to pair it with any underwear you already love, or none.

Wearing a garter set without the struggle

Put the stocking piece on first, sitting down. Gather each stocking leg down to the toe, slip your foot in and roll it up evenly so the pattern runs straight. Then settle the attached garters at the hips. Add your thong or panty next, so it sits over or under the garters depending on whether you want to remove it without unhooking anything. (Over the garters is the classic choice.) Put the off-shoulder top on last and adjust the neckline so it sits evenly.

Fit

Be Wicked labels this version one size fits most and doesn't publish a size chart. Patterned knit has generous stretch, but if you usually wear plus sizes or find one-size hosiery tight, the Run the World Queen is the same design in a larger cut.

Care

This is hand-wash only. Use cold water and a mild detergent, don't bleach, don't tumble-dry, don't iron and don't dry-clean. Press the water out in a towel and dry the pieces flat. The set arrives in a box, which is handy for storing it between wears so the knit doesn't snag in a drawer.
