Sex Toys Nanaimo, British Columbia

On the coast, a toy that can't get wet is a toy you'll be careful with forever. When you browse adult toys in Nanaimo, it's worth filtering for the water rating first. A lot of the suction vibrators and clitoral vibrators we stock from Womanizer, Satisfyer and LELO are fully submersible, which means bath, shower and a proper rinse at the sink are all fine.

"Splash-resistant" is a different promise. It covers a damp hand or a wipe-down, not a soak in the tub. Two more tips for wet use: water rinses away water-based lube, so a silicone-based formula lasts longer in the shower (just keep it off silicone toys), and a charging port should be completely dry before you plug in. Our lubricant guide walks through the options.

After a bath or a swim-season weekend at the lake cabin, give the toy a wash with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner, let it air-dry completely and store it in its pouch. Glass and stainless steel are naturally waterproof with no motor to worry about, so a glass dildo is another easy option for anyone who wants something that can go anywhere water does. When you compare sex toys in Nanaimo listings side by side, the water rating is usually printed right next to the battery details.

A sex shop in Nanaimo suits people who like to see a toy in person before buying. For many islanders, though, the bigger appeal of an online adult store in Nanaimo is simple: this is a city where you'll bump into your dental hygienist at the grocery store and your neighbour on the seawall. Ordering from your couch skips that.

• Wider choice: brands like We-Vibe, Lovense, Tenga, Aneros, Sliquid and Liberator in one catalogue
• Time to decide: compare specs tonight, sleep on it and come back tomorrow
• Privacy on paper: a plain box at the door and Vamoson Inc., our parent company, on your statement

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars, and we offer a price match within 25 days of purchase.

A product photo can't tell you everything. Before you add anything to the cart, check:

• Insertable size: the usable length and width, rather than the total length with the handle
• Material: body-safe silicone, glass or stainless steel are non-porous and easy to wash
• Power: USB or magnetic charging versus batteries, and the stated run time
• Water rating: fully submersible or splash-resistant, as described above
• Noise: worth a look if your basement suite shares a floor with the landlord's kitchen

If a detail is missing, email support@dreamydesire.com and we'll find it for you.

Students at Vancouver Island University can take 20% off with code STUD20 at checkout, and so can anyone else, since no student ID or school email is needed. The student discount page explains how it works. If this is your first purchase, start with our beginner-friendly collection or the guide to choosing a first toy.

Couples might like a wearable from our couples' vibrators, or an app-controlled toy if one of you commutes over to the mainland or works away. Unsure what someone would pick? A gift card leaves the choice to them.

We deliver sex toys in Nanaimo to Downtown and the Old City Quarter, Departure Bay, Brechin Hill, Newcastle, Hammond Bay, Uplands, Diver Lake and North Nanaimo, as well as Harewood, Chase River and Cedar to the south. Beyond city limits, parcels go to Lantzville, Ladysmith, Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Gabriola Island.

Rural addresses in Cedar or Lantzville can be tricky for couriers, so use the full civic address and add a delivery note if the house sits back from the road. Rain is a fact of life here; if your step has no cover, a note asking the driver to leave the parcel by the side door or under the carport is worth adding at checkout.

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days and shipped with Canada Post, UPS or Purolator. We email a tracking link as soon as the parcel is on its way, so you can follow its progress. Because everything ships inside Canada, there are no customs forms, duties or brokerage fees, and for British Columbia addresses only the 5% GST is added at checkout.

Standard shipping is free on orders of $100 or more; on smaller orders, checkout shows the rate before you pay. Discreet delivery to Nanaimo means a plain box with no product names or store branding, and a defective item is covered by our 90-day money-back guarantee.

Sending a gift down-island? Our Victoria and Esquimalt pages cover the south end, and our Vancouver page covers friends across the Strait. After your order arrives, the toy cleaning and storage guide keeps things in good shape, and every city we cover is listed in our Canadian locations guide.
